The English edition of “A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountain” will soon be published by Unicorn Publishing Group, through the agency of China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Co., Ltd. The book is the winner of Chinese Mao Dun Literature Prize, the top honour of literature in China. The original edition of the book is published by Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House, “A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountain” tells a story of a group of intelligence workers, represented by Chen Qianli, in the early 1930s. Faced with White Terror and trials of life and death, they displayed loyalty and faith, courage and sacrifice, to break the enemy’s surrounding net and accomplish their great mission.
The author of this book, Mr Sun Ganlu, is a member of the Presidium of the National Committee of the China Writers’ Association, vice-chairman of the Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles, vice-chairman of the Shanghai Writers’ Association, and president of the East China Normal University China Academy of Creative Writing. His works have been translated into English, French and Japanese, and have been included in many literary anthologies at home and abroad. His writing and literary activities are an important part of contemporary Chinese literature.
In this book, the author has extensively collected early historical materials of the Communist Party of China, deeply excavated the life stories of the revolutionary martyrs in Longhua, and truly restored the historical, cultural and social life scenes in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing and other places. The author integrated the grand background of “A thousand miles of land” and the micro-perspective of “Glittering Days” into the theme creation with his rich creative enthusiasm and skillful literary writing, which is the first time in contemporary Chinese literary works.
According to the original edition publisher, “A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountain” will also be published in Arabic, Spanish, English, Russian, German and Portuguese.
近期，英國獨角獸出版集團翻譯出版的中國茅盾文學獎獲獎作品《千里江山圖》英文版即將出版。該書由上海文藝出版社出版，由中國圖書進出口（集團）有限公司代理版權。
《千里江山圖》講述了20世紀30年代初，以陳千里等為代表的一批情報工作者，面對白色恐怖和生死考驗，以忠誠與信仰、勇毅與犧牲，粉碎了敵人布下的天羅地網，完成重大使命的故事。本書作者廣泛蒐集中國共產黨早期史料，深度挖掘龍華革命烈士生平事跡，真實還原上海、廣州、南京等地歷史文化和社會生活場景，以豐沛的創作熱忱和嫻熟的文學筆力，第一次在當代純文學作品中將「千里江山」的宏闊背景和「萬家燈火」的微觀視角融入主題創作。該書被評為2022年度「中國好書」，並於2023年獲得中國文學作品最高獎項——「茅盾文學獎」。
作者孫甘露是中國作家協會全國委員會主席團委員、上海市文學藝術界聯合會副主席、上海市作家協會副主席、華東師範大學中國創意寫作研究院院長。著有《信使之函》《訪問夢境》《呼吸》等，作品有英、法、日等多種譯文，被收入海內外多種文學選集。他的寫作和文學活動是當代中國文學史的重要組成部分。據悉，《千里江山圖》後續還將出版阿拉伯文、西班牙文、英文、俄文、德文、葡萄牙文等多個語種版本。
