The beautiful new world of Contemporary Art is booming. Not merely in the analyses of commercial undertakings and lifestyle conglomerates, but also according to the views of cultural theoreticians and art historians. Viewing, shopping, wandering idly, selecting and consuming are identified both as primary leisure occupation as well as determining activity at the root of modern urban life in all its facets. Seeing and absorbing art is much more then mere satisfying of needs:it is the important ritual of public and communal life, through which identity is created and changed.
Geoff Leong has joined forces with two prolific international artists Vanya Balogh and Cedric Christie to support this non- profit
exhibition featuring over 100 selected submissions from the curatorial committee in an entire circular 20,000 Sq ft space beneath Cavendish Square.
