M.F.侯赛因：现代印度绘画大师

二零一四年五月二十八—七月二十七 维多利亚&阿尔伯特博物馆 著名印度艺术家M.F 侯赛因（1915-2011）最后创作的九幅作品在V&A博物馆首次公开展出。“印度文明”系列由八幅意义重大的三联画组成，每幅宽12英尺,  高6英尺。这些作品表现了侯赛因眼中印度富饶的文化与历史。它们捕捉到印度充满生气的城市、多彩的印度节日、偶像人物和历史事件。这些壮观的大型作品同一幅单独绘制印度神灵象头神的画作一起展出。这幅画作担纲此系列作品有象征意义的开场。 M.F侯赛因被誉为印度绘画界现代艺术运动领袖之一。生于潘达尔普尔的他，早年时光是在印多尔度过的。在孟买上艺术学校的他，之后成为了一名为绘制电影广告牌的画家，这是其事业的开端。侯赛因徒手绘制并且使用鲜亮的颜色，他用现代欧洲艺术运动的风格（特别是立体派）来描绘印度主题事件。 “印度文明”系列，通过描绘达罗和圣雄甘地，也以“印度幻象”而为人熟知。2008年，该系列由米塔尔家族委托制作，并且此前从未公开展出。1990年，侯赛因常驻于V&A博物馆。乌沙•米塔尔夫人将这些作品借给V&A博物馆，以展示这位被称为“印度毕加索”的杰出艺术家的最后创作的作品。 (Edited by Jin Xinchun)

In this issue, we have invited PERFORMANCE INFINITY, a UK art consultant in performance art, for a special feature on contemporary British theatre, mainly focusing on ‘New Writing’ in London Theatres as a clue to discover contemporary theatres in London and drama creation.
